One elementary choir and a middle-school/high school choir allow students to develop their singing skills as well as their appreciation for music. Students work together as a team to prepare a mixture of patriotic, sacred, and fun songs to perform throughout the year.
Introducing GCA’s new band and choir director!! Miss Ewert will join our team in June and we are delighted to have her with us. The Lord is good! Let’s praise His name together.
- Miss Charlene Ewert (pronounced: ee-wurt)
- BS and MS in Music Education
- 35 years teaching experience in band, choirs, and private lessons (has started 2 band programs and watched them go to nationals each year)
- Miss Ewert comes to us from Pensacola Christian Academy (a K-12 school with 2,000 students) where she led their band and choirs, and was the music coordinator for the entire school.
GCA offers private piano lessons for interested students. Students may sign up at the Student Orientation or at the school office.
Every year, GCA invites the Academy of Arts to come in for one week and train interested GCA students in the area of drama. At the end of the week a dramatic production is put on for the public. 2018 elementary production will be The Ant and the Grass Hopper, and the high school production will be No Place to Flee.
