Mr. Hopkins accepted Christ as his Savior at a Christian teen summer camp when he was 15 years old.  He was born and raised in Denham Springs, Louisiana.  He, his wife Jennifer, and kids – Ethan, Addison, and Brynleigh – moved across the United States to NC from Lancaster, California.

He has a Bachelor’s in Pastoral Theology and Master’s in Religious Education, Bible and Music.  He comes to GCA with experience in training musicians at West Coast Baptist College, as well as, a long track record of teaching in Christian schools.

Daniel is a piano playing genius and has a quite the track record of using his musical talents to grow others and give honor/glory to the Lord.  When he is not leading music/worship, you can find him spending time with family and enjoying sports.  His favorite sports team is, aside from the GCA Knights of course, the LSU Tigers – “Geaux Tigers!”
