5 Steps to Becoming Part of the GCA Family
1
Visit Campus
We invite you to see what we’re all about by attending our annual open house, scheduling a campus tour, or having your child join us for a shadow day*. During this time, you can explore our facilities, meet staff, and have your questions answered.
2
Apply Online
If GCA feels like the right fit for your family, you can easily and quickly submit your application online. Supplemental documents include your child’s birth certificate, most recent report card, and test scores (if applicable).
3
Complete Your Assessment
Students entering grades 1-12 will complete an admissions assessment, which focuses primarily on language and math skills. When we receive your application, we will contact you to schedule this assessment.
4
Family Interview
We can’t wait to meet your family! After the assessment is complete, we’ll schedule a time for you and your child to meet the principal. This helps you learn more about GCA and allows us to learn more about your child’s unique learning style, interests, and needs.
5
Complete Your Enrollment
After your family interview, we will provide you with an official admissions decision, including all the information you need to finalize your enrollment.
*Student shadow days are available upon request for students entering grades 6-12.

Admissions FAQ
When should we apply?
We offer our current families the opportunity to re-enroll each year during the month of February. Open enrollment for new families begins March 1, and remains open until seats are filled.
Do you offer any financial aid?
GCA accepts the NC Opportunity Scholarship, a a program that helps families who make below a certain amount of income pay tuition and fees at private schools.
Why do families choose GCA after considering all private schools in the area?
We find that parents settle on GCA for three reasons:
- We provide a distinctly Christian education, with all subjects taught from a biblical worldview
- Students receive a high-quality, traditional education that prepares them for college and life
- We see each student as a unique and valuable creation of God. Our Resource Program for special education needs allows us to serve students who have documented learning disabilities, or simply need extra help to thrive academically.

Words from a new family:
“As a new enrolling family to GCA, I have found the admissions process so easy and welcoming! The admissions staff had been so helpful and kind. I have gotten all my questions answered and have felt a clear and direct path on each step of the way. The tour was the icing on the cake! The school is just wonderful and my whole family is thrilled to be joining the GCA family.”
